Hi level mgmt treats worker bees like gum on the bottom of their shoes. Worker bees know the products/functionality and customers best. Often have to 'prove' product functionality to mgmt when trying to trouble shoot issues. No really incentive or room for advancement within the company. They would rather hire outside with someone they feel has more 'mgmt' experience and hire them in with senior titles even though they are brand new over hiring someone who knows their products inside and out and has slaved for them for years. You could have a huge year with numerous accomplishments or a slow steady year and your raise will be the same -minimal and insulting. Bonus's should not automatically be granted in stock!
