Don't trust any director who is "the sweetest person you'll ever meet". - Training is not available, so be prepared to learn on your own. - Expensive health insurance. - Low pay relative to competitors. - AI may replace you (but they are upfront about this). - Lip service is given to diversity initiatives, but aside from Slack channels where folks can commiserate, there are no actual benefits (tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, etc.) tied to those initiatives.
