The partners party with P Diddy - need I say more? It started off as a rumor that I heard, but I have now heard it straight from the horses' mouth last week where one partner was joking at an internal meeting amidst the recent news about Diddy (Sean Combs) and laughing about their parties together. I found this to be very unsettling and upsetting to be joking about this in a professional setting and wanted to say something. I was uncomfortable but others in the room felt the need to alugh along as it was our boss. I have had a really frustrating experience at OfficeUntitled, and I feel the need to share it. The leadership here are stuck in a very toxic boys' club mentality. They prioritize connections and boys club cameraderie over talent, which is just disheartening. One of the partners is a woman, but instead of lifting up other women, she often acts like she’s above them. It’s disappointing to see someone in a leadership position contribute to this culture. She belongs to the boys club and believes she is better because of it. In the last year, nearly ten people have left—most of whom were women and people of color. That says a lot about the environment. When people tried to voice their concerns, they often faced backlash instead of support. It’s clear that there’s a lack of genuine diversity and inclusion. rThe needs and ideas and requests from marginalized voices frequently get ignored or dismissed, which is very frustrating. It shuts down creativity and makes people feel undervalued. I really hope OfficeUntitled can take a hard look at these issues and make some changes. Until then, I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and inclusive workplace. There are definitely better options out there! The company tries to sell itself as a young and cool place. It is not.
