Depends on interest of individual. Individual may find in this economy that a focus on ethics is a refreshing change, especially in light of all the recent news items of interests. Also, new college graduates may find working for the government as a more stable source of income.

Government employee, not profit driven. Pension plan is not as great as it was for the older employees. However, the benefits after a number of years still supersede some of the other employers. Public service is generally a thankless job especially when evaluating the ethical violations of individuals.
