Vantaggi
I found the people at OLX are friendly. There is variation, but it is not a toxic workplace at the moment - which is a big bonus. I had decent work life balance (again, this depends on luck of who your manager is). The next bit REALLY depends on where you end up in the company, but generally the culture is good. There is a lot going on, and ways to get involved. I met one of my (now) closest friends at OLX.
Svantaggi
Man... Layoffs, layoffs, layoffs. I get this is a tech industry thing. But it is constant, so really brace yourselves to a big lack of job security (senior people with 14 years tenure were discarded without so much as a second thought). It sounds crazy, but this is so bad that many are happy to be let go as they no longer have the constant anxiety. But this is a deeper issue. We have a new CEO, he is obviously trying to prove himself to the board and job cuts are an easy way to drive value. As I said, the culture is good, but before it was AMAZING. It is swinging the other way due to rationalisation, efficiencies etc. So big scale backs, roles are more demanding, etc etc. It is moving in the wrong direction, and soon it will be toxic. Leadership is really bad at OLX, and there is a 'we are royalty' vibe to them. Despite OLX's vocalisation about DEI, it is one of the least diverse organisations I have seen - especially in leadership (which can explain a fair bit). Look for yourself... also, people of colour may have a rough time
