Vantaggi

As an account manager, you’re expected to really understand your clients business and operations and proposing suitable solutions to help their business grow. You learn to be answerable to your own proposal to client and not just another coordinator. It can be demanding because clients move fast and expectations internally are also high. But it forces you to think more and actually advise instead of just following instructions. Team support is there, especially from backend teams like SEO and performance. If you put in the effort, you’ll learn quite a lot about different industries.

Svantaggi

Not a place to coast, but good if you want to grow beyond basic account servicing.

Vantaggi

- Pantry is stocked well at the beginning of each month - There are some colleagues that are nice, while others not. - Good exposure to different kinds of clients - Easy access to the MRT

Svantaggi

- Poor management and often a lot of micromanaging. - A lot of office politics, good luck being there long if you're not in a clique - Pay is low, especially for the amount of work piled on you over time - The work is piled up so that there's no work-life balance - They prioritise quantity over quality but still expect you to be perfect - You must be always submissive and never question anyone - Some team leads shouldn't even have the position they're in because they don't do it well, and abuse their position of power. But due to cliques in the office, they are shielded from accountability by upper management and "can't be touched". - The cliques there make it feel like I'm back in secondary school - HR is quite incompetent in many aspects of an HR job scope - New people or people not part of the office inner circle are usually targeted for failure/termination. - New hires are undermined/looked down upon even if they have more knowledge of things pertaining to their client's industry. - Promises of growth, mentorship, and guidance are lies, they're non-existent - Very very high turnover rate

Vantaggi

Good, collaborative work culture where most people are fun and nice to work with. Many people here (including the founders) are real tough, go-getter bunch and it was inspiring to work around them. When general mindset is "nothing is impossible", it pushes you to do your best and achieve things that you did not think you can at first. The founders (CEO & COO) are demanding but are generally fair and open to feedback or new ideas. Also a great learning experience in many areas of digital marketing. Most people actually do leave around 6-7pm which is not bad for an agency. But the experience really depends on which team and manager you have. Some teams have strong bonds and lots of laughs together, others less positive

Svantaggi

With the ultra-fast pace and demanding amount of work (being overloaded is the norm) it can get pretty stressful, although still not as bad as some agencies. With the tough goals and constant pressure by the senior leadership, some of the department heads ended up projecting their stress to the people under them by resorting to micromanaging, blaming, scapegoating... In my case, I generally liked the agency and all the other people, but left mainly because of toxic, personally targeting behaviours by a manager (who is no longer there by now at least). Also, I was hired for a strategic role but ended up doing very manual admin work a lot of the time and was being blamed harshly for data entry errors while it was not my skillset. Majority of colleagues I know who left also did so because they were fed up by a manager. The no WFH policy is also another common reason.
