8yHello, thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback for us and we would like to respond to some of the concerns you've raised.
We take allegations of racism very seriously and we have formal grievance procedures where anyone can raise a concern to management or HR and a full investigation would be conducted. The type of behaviour that you have described is unacceptable and should we ever become aware of any employee behaving this way we would take strong and immediate action. We work hard to build a culture of inclusivity where opportunities are available to everyone, regardless of their background.
Offering a diverse range of workplace events is also something that is very important to us as we want everyone to feel included here at OVO. There are parties and events which include alcoholic drinks but we also have sporting events, clubs, networks, and department socials which are alcohol-free. We have heard your feedback on this and we will make continued efforts to try and maintain a range of events suitable for all employees.
There are no employees at OVO that have been placed on a 1 year probation period upon joining: our standard probation periods at OVO are either 3 or 6 months depending on the department people join. All new employees in the same role and department have a probation period of the same length to ensure everyone has the same opportunity to thrive in their role here at OVO. Although it is rare, there may be some circumstances where we feel it is appropriate to extend probation by a short period, such as the level of performance being lower than expected. Where this is the case we do as much as possible to provide training and support to enable those employees to successfully pass their probation.
