West coast is a mess. Leadership and 'boots on the ground' are severely disconnected. Poor on the job training, lack of leadership, poorly designed 'chain of command'. Dissatisfied employees, great amount of unexpected travel. Poor cross divisional use of assets. Local culture was dismal, but other regions seemed to enjoy tremendous camaraderie. When an employee would prefer to work in any region other than the one they're assigned, there is a serious cultural problem. Managers 'poo-poo'ing' corporate policy is counterproductive. Either subscribe or move on, top level management is competent but harmfully removed from day-to-day productivity.
