- I was hired with the promise that there would be a work-life balance in the agency. But I was expected to work every weekend. - Small place - but lots of politics. People were very insecure. - To give a bigger picture of the management - They wanted to pull off a PR stunt that they are a company that makes sure that its employees get work-life balance by giving leave to us on Founder's Day and making each of us post a writeup on LinkedIn - as to what all we did with our free time. But the side remarks were - they expected us to work on all the other weekends. - Also, they would change the full pitch decks an hour before the pitch, leaving us no time to prepare for the pitch. - There were two more people on my level. One of them was up for promotion and the other one was on probation - so both of them burned the midnight oil to secure things. I didn't. I didn't sign up to sell out my (promised) 'life' time for 'work' time.
