Vantaggi
New to the world of payroll, I was initially intimidated to start at this company. Now-almost a year into employment at OnPay- I can confidently say that this company cares about its employees, invests in educating its employees, and promotes a strong work-life balance. You'll succeed here if you find the following items as pros: -The thrill of Sherlock Holmes-ing your way through a ticket and the satisfaction once you find a solution or workaround to a weird request or inquiry. -Working in a small start-up environment where your input is considered and valued. Everyone, including the CEO, knows you and your name. And your birthday cake preference (hellooooo ice cream in March!). -Nerding out about payroll- they assumed the costs for my FPC study materials and exam so I could add a professional certification to my name and knowledge base. -The sound of a competitive ping-pong game in the distance and the siren song of unlimited caffeine in the break room. -Taking a vacation. Whether it's a week on a sunny beach in Thailand or a 3-day staycation binge-watching Netflix, this company is just as enthusiastic about your well-being off the clock.
Svantaggi
This may not be the best fit for you if the following apply: -Your ideal workplace reminds you of Groundhog Day- same tasks, same structure, never changing day in and out. Not knocking predictability if that's your thing. At OnPay, variety and adaptability are the spice of life. -You're overtime-averse. While overtime is not a regular facet of this job, in the world of payroll tax the end of the quarter and the end of the year are typically busier than other times of the year.
