Vantaggi
Experience of working for One Delivery will differ on a franchise-basis. I worked for an Essex-based franchise of One-Delivery.
I enjoyed working for our local franchise, which was run by a brilliant franchise manager. She treated all of her staff with utmost respect and as if they were a part of her own family. Can't fault the franchise manager at all.
Flexible and able to work from home. Discounted meals and sometimes even free meals.
Friendly team of drivers.
Svantaggi
Head Office (based in Leeds) have extremely poor communication skills.
Head Office uses Facebook to get in touch with franchise managers, which is extremely unprofessional, puts customer details at risk of being shared where it shouldn't be and basically means that if you don't have Facebook you get no support from HQ.
Head Office also has absolutely no clue how marketing and advertising works. One Delivery was founded long before most of its competitors, yet fell behind its competitors because the Head Office failed to market and advertise the business.
The Head Office created a company app that was supposed to help the franchise drivers receive and deliver orders. However the app never worked from the day it was launched. Instead of fixing it, the Head Office abandoned it entirely, leaving their franchises stuck in the mud and having to quickly devise their own individual order dispatch systems out of their own pockets.
The website that hosts the local menus which customers order from has very limited functionality and poor flexibility for franchise administrators.
