Decent benefits (could be better) Fully remote culture (though the CEO gets furious when anyone calls it a "remote-first" company???) Flexible time off and a good amount of company holidays Sincere and genuine coworkers at the IC level, some of the smartest people I've ever met

Even after being away from OST for a long time now, I still regularly have nightmares about the intense toxicity festering within this company. There are 2 different classes of people who exist at OneStudyTeam-- the long-tenured "OGs" and everyone else. If you haven't been with the company for the long haul (5+ years), you can forget having any agency or influence, EVER. It's not even something you can grow into because the CEO apparently only trusts like 4 people, all of whom take ridiculous advantage of him in every way. One of these people regularly threatens employees with everything ranging from termination and industry black-balling to physical violence and I guess Ralph just thinks that's totally fine. It says a lot that there's basically been no HR team since the beginning of the year when most of them were unceremoniously fired and the rest of them quit. It shouldn't be this hard to hire people in HR in this job market but OST 1) is cheap, 2) is clearly a minefield for anyone who knows how to check Glassdoor, and 3) has a COO running the HR function who is gutless and clueless about anything related to that function. Anyone still here or anyone looking to take a job with OST should probably be aware that the CFO's openly-stated goal is ultimately to outsource as much of the company to India as possible. Based on how OST has handled its multiple mass layoffs since 2022, they clearly haven't learned a single lesson about how to treat people humanely and they don't care to. Until they kick everyone out for cheaper labor, they'll keep promising promotions and raises to people to get them to work as hard as possible for as little money as possible.
