I've worked at six different companies in my time, and this is the first time I felt the need to write a review. I am a positive person by nature, and this review is not intended to be seen as one-sided or harsh, rather it is intended to inform people of the management style before they consider applying for jobs with OpenText. This is my own opinion and any individual can make their own decision based on their own research before applying. With that being said, I would only advise people to seek employment with OpenText if a) this is your first job out of college or b) you are used to working in a call centre style environment with micro-management techniques being applied to you and your daily work. The reasoning behind this is, if this is your first job, stick it out for 2 years to get experience on your CV and a nice salary, and then move on. Any company you get hired by thereafter, will seem luxurious in comparison. Likewise, if you already work in a call centre style environment with micromanagement techniques, then you will already be well suited to work with OpenText. Unfortunately with the introduction of the new management team, came with it the micromanagement and bully style tactics that various other reviews speak of, where business managers believe they can apply a generic Excel formula to every case and build "reliable" reports from this "data". I weep for the Data Analytics sector of IT, where data is actually analysed and outside variables are taken into account to explain a certain trend, rather than a generic Excel formula being applied at a high level to prevent an employee progressing either professionally or financially. Two cases are never the same, and can never be treated as such with a generic formula. You will only move when and where "the business" wants you to move, I use quotations here as you will hear this term being used a lot by managers. You will be given the bare minimum, and asked to perform miracles, going above and beyond and if you fail to do so, well, measures will be put in place to make sure you do perform miracles. The last straw was when extra pressure for higher numbers and performance was introduced, in the middle of Covid-19, where families were already under enough stress and fear of the virus. Choosing this time to implement those "measures" I mentioned, is beyond the pale and will never be forgiven.

I no longer work there.

They do not value their employees. I was told to never take more than a week off at a time, or it was proof you were not needed. They do not value their customers. Channels created to allow customer feedback to management were shutdown because management did not want to have to deal with customers upset about product issues caused by their cost cutting.
