They provide lunches when in the office
Svantaggi
CEO refuses to go fully remote, because he believes collaboration can only happen in person. If you're not an extroverted yes man, then you are not a good culture fit for OptTek. If you use their benefit of working fewer hours than standard (I worked a 32 hour work week, which was great), they have a brain storming session to figure out why you would. Because obviously something's wrong with you. They will shuffle people on teams, take away people, and give you new ones who are unfamiliar with the tech stack, and then complain that you aren't moving fast enough after less than a month. And say that you aren't taking this seriously, even though you are working hard to train the new people. They will chastise you for being 30 seconds late to a meeting. (Except upper management, which you have to hunt down because they forget about meetings.) Pay is crap, even accounting for the shorter work week. They try and make up for it with other benefits, such as providing lunch. They don't want you using the open PTO to take off a day here or there, because they need people in the office working to remain competitive.
