Optics 1 is a great place to work. It is a fast-paced environment where new products are continuously being developed and transitioned into production. The company has experienced tremendous growth over the past 4 years, but is working hard to maintain its "small company" roots. The company invests considerably in R&D to ensure that it does not become stale. Employees genuinely feel invested in their programs and making sure that they are successful, and the leadership is sincere in its commitment to making Optics 1 a great place to work.

Being as Optics 1 is a smaller company, you have to be agile and wear multiple hats if you want to thrive here. If you're looking for a place where you can float by without having to put in any effort, it's probably not for you. That does not mean people are necessarily overworked or that the company won't invest in resources; it means that it's a dynamic environment where you are expected to work hard and be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. To the extent that there are negative reviews on here of Optics 1, I would say that they are either people who didn't want to keep up with that pace, or they are very old reviews from a much different time in the company's history.
