Lots of learning opportunities, great place for internship - Recensione dipendente - Junior Software Engineer presso Optimal Satcom

Learned a lot of new things, mainly in software development. Worked on software that was actually used rather than just an "intern project". Never felt like I couldn't ask questions and people were always willing to help. Snacks and coffee were provided, we got lunch on Fridays!

The satellite technology was a little confusing to get into at first and at a certain point in the internship I felt like the tasks were becoming repetitive.

Fantastic company culture. Everyone is kind, willing to help, and dedicated. Stocked kitchen with great snacks. You'll never be caught doing menial tasks. As an intern, you're doing work comparable, though not quite as advanced, to the senior developers before the first month is up. Management does their best to make sure the interns are taken care of and learning a lot. They clearly care about what they do and the work all the employees put in.

The work is quality, but it probably isn't on the level of bigger/more complex companies. Much of the software does not require more than intermediate programming knowledge. This may be not be good to students who are looking for more aggressive or in-depth work.
