One of the main disadvantages was the difficult communication regarding holiday requests. There were also months when I did not receive the bonus that I was entitled to.In addition, when DHL took me over from the agency, I personally had to follow up several times to make sure my remaining holiday pay was paid correctly. I was not given any kind of handover or information letter explaining what had happened, how many holiday days I still had left, or what steps I needed to take.
I believe this process should have been handled automatically, and it caused me unnecessary stress having to write emails and chase up my own money. It also made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed having to ask repeatedly about payments that were rightfully mine. I do not think this was handled appropriately.
