Money looked decent; The projects looked really cool to work on

After spending almost 2 days in onboarding, and acing every test, my very first assignment was to write two prompts for Numeric Sled. I went a little overtime, because I was trying to get things right – – but within seconds of submitting, I was told they had failed, and I was no longer eligible to work on projects. I went through several channels to see what the problem was, because I knew I did a pretty decent job – – and eventually I learned that although I had been sent the numeric sled project, I was supposed to be sent some entirely different project. I forget the name of the project at this particular moment, but it was entirely different. I brought this up with tech-support, of course, but they just automatically replied with the expected boiler plate. It was clear that no human being ever looked at what happened with my situation. Although I did receive many, very nice emails, with actual human names, attached to them. However, not one ever addressed a single point that I made – and it’s not like I had a lot of questions. I was given one project, and failed because I was supposed to be answering another one somehow… If nothing else, the fact that my response came back within milliseconds should be a clue that there was something wrong there. Obviously, they have more than enough workers at Outlier. Or – – full disclosure here – – I have an old drug charge on my record, and maybe that was enough for them to just drop me, and use some crazy test mishaps as there excuse..? . In any case, I have a feeling that if you get lucky and get in there, and get on the right projects, you might do OK. I’ve been following the Reddit forum and so on for sometime. However, be aware that the company seems to be almost entirely run by the same AI that it is trying to build and improve. So best of luck. If anyone ever thinks of it, please hit me back up and let me know what and how you are doing. Cheers!
