Vantaggi
I joined Outside IQ a few months (2) after setting up in Canada for the first time. They gave me the opportunity as a junior developer to grow and learn with them and this have been one of my best experience. I learned a lot from them and I really enjoyed my time there. I only left because I wanted to see a different environment/technology (been doing the same thing for too long) In term of the Pros I would say that it's a small startup where everyone is accessible and help each other. Regarding my old team, they were my best professional experience in my career so far (open minded, lot of discussion, getting along with everyone, good mood and other positive things). The CEO is amazing and very accessible, and based on my situation (immigration) I can personally says that he cares about his employees and work toward the best outcome for everyone. I'll also confirm the flexible hours and the tolerance for failure (I joined as a junior). You also get your personal computer to work at your pace (Huge plus) Outside IQ is for me an amazing startup where I spent 3 great years and I wish them the best in the future.
Svantaggi
The only cons is the bathroom :P (we had some issue with a high turnover with the people charged of doing the maintenance, so that can be understood sometimes). But honestly there is not that much cons except for the premises (old building scheduled for demolition), carpet not clean, insect (sometimes...) They were planning renovation when i left, so I think it's better now. It's also true that we had a lot of meetings but that's part of the agile methodology. And since it's flexible, there was always a way to re schedule. I'll put 4.5/5 just for the building :D
