Learn something new every day including how the different moving parts in healthcare fit together. Lots of freedom to be creative in your approach to pushing the company mission forward. The company is willing to put a lot of resources behind achieving their Medicare advantage goals including training for employees, financial incentives for employees and providers, gift cards to patients for getting preventive care, etc.

Have to deal with rebuilding the company reputation in an older market (AZ) after some strategic changes and bad old contracts. If you want a ton of infrastructure, consistency in what your day to day looks like, and clear path forward, it probably isn’t the company for you. If you like to get deep in the weeds, try new things, and invest heavily in building relationships in a sometimes ambiguous environment, you’ll enjoy it. It’s an older company with a lot of newer employees. No CRM so you’ll live out of spreadsheets and self made resources. Pay is great but the role takes a big piece of your life. It’s not a clock out and don’t think about it again until Monday kind of role.
