Several of them are in those places because they started with the company and earned their positions due to seniority and loyalty, which I consider very valid and correct, but when these people do not seek to evolve and adapt to changes and new styles, you find yourself with very closed supervisors who do not like to try new things (methods). Nowadays, these traits in Management are not usually beneficial.
