At PCA Promotions we pride ourselves on the transparency we provide candidates which is why our entire interviewing process is structured as it is.
This begins with the job title on our posting which boldly states "ENTRY LEVEL PR, SALES & MARKETING". It defies logic that our recruiter who does the initial phone screening would tell a candidate that there is no sales involved as only candidates interested in Sales would apply to a posting with such a title.
We understand that Promotional sales and marketing isn't for everyone which is why our interviewing process is as follows:
1. There is the initial phone screening with a recruiter.
2. There is a personal one on one interview with the Hiring Manager where candidates are explained the Direct Advertising model which includes being shown sample promotions, drawn a diagram explaining the targeted nature of the campaign and why our target audience are people working in the business sector. For candidates who are interested in learning more about the company and finding out whether they are a good fit or not, we then schedule a job shadow day interview.
3. The job shadow day involves the candidate coming back, meeting a current Sales Trainer and then spending an entire day shadowing the Trainer for the day seeing what a typical day is like and also the success of what we do. By the end of the day the candidate should know if this type of work is something they can do or not. We know at this point if the candidate is a good fit.
The final step in the process is a final interview with the candidate, the Sales Trainer and the Hiring Manager. In this interview the Hiring Manager reviews the day with the candidate and ask them if they believe they would be a good fit for the position. If the answer is yes, then the pay structure is reviewed and the candidate is either hired on the spot or they are called later that evening with an answer.
Candidates not interested in the position based on their job shadow day do not accept the position if offered. Not all candidates are offered the job at the end of the job shadow day.
One of the biggest benefits of this interviewing process is Transparency. Not only does a candidate get to observe someone else do the job that they would be doing if hired, but they also get to see first hand just how lucrative this type of work is.
Again, this type of work is not for everyone but for the people who are a good fit; they flourish at PCA Promotions. Entry Level Reps make amazing incomes and are provided with advancement opportunities offering benefits and more.
We welcome anyone looking for a great opportunity to come and explore for themselves the unique and successful company that is PCA Promotions.
