No matter the colleague level in the audit team, people were always friendly and willing to help or have a chat. Good variance in the industry of clients that you will work on, with the firm pushing to grow the client base continuously. Fast-paced with work always to be done, but the help is there if you need it from the managers and partners. Having opportunities for progression as you pass exams was good too!

Salaries compared to working in industry are lower, but that is a common theme for all practices at this level. Management could be more open about staffing changes. At times it felt that reviews of work could take a while from managers, but this was actively being worked upon as I was leaving. Similarly, the Birmingham office did feel dated as I was leaving, but they have subsequently moved to new offices after I had left the business so no longer an issue.
