As mentioned in the pros, the yearly increase for ranks had an adverse effect on the performance of employees, leading to a decline in motivation to seek improvement. (Though this is my own opinion and observation) 3. The internal politics are deeply rooted; without connections within the company, promotions or career growth may be challenging unless you make a truly exceptional impression on the executives. It's worth noting that family and friends often take priority in such situations.
