Vantaggi
1. Cooperation with certain colleagues was a highlight; they showed great openness and tried to explain business mechanisms, even though it was not their direct responsibility.
2. Salary&Benefits
Svantaggi
1. Flawed Recruitment and Onboarding:
The process was marked by total disorganization: lack of clear information, uncertainty regarding employment documents, and medical check-ups. Once I started, the onboarding process was practically non-existent. To this day, my role within the team has never been clearly defined and has been modified multiple times along the way.
2. Technical Integration and Systems:
Onboarding into the company's systems is a cumbersome and incomplete process. Even now, essential access to invoicing systems and vital SharePoint folders is still missing, hindering daily operations.
3. Training and Task Handover:
A chaotic process characterized by the absence of responsible personnel at key moments.
• I took over tasks from colleagues leaving the company on their very last day, without any logical explanations.
• Later, I was asked in meetings to explain the theory behind those files to experienced managers, despite never having received an explanation myself.
• Senior management explicitly stated that my direct manager "should not" allocate time for shadowing or training sessions, with the expectation being that I should "pick it up on the fly" despite the complexity of the energy analysis and forecasting processes.
4. Management and Toxic Communication:
I felt constant pressure and a lack of support from management (both Manager and Director levels):
• Pressure to stay overtime or arrive well before starting hours during the first few days for brief, insufficient explanations.
• Feedback is contradictory and, at times, demeaning. Although I identified the process errors myself, any attempt to understand the logic behind a task was dismissed. I was told that "I just need to copy from one file to another" and that I had "technical issues/lack of Excel skills," completely ignoring the lack of specific training on their proprietary files.
5. Work Environment:
A state of constant agitation, with additional tasks piled on top of the learning process, and a general sense that no one clearly understood the purpose of my role or where to position me.
