The idea of merging the licensing divisions of the UK’s two Music Licensing Societies, PPL and PRS for Music, was good in principle, and in all fairness is about the only good thing about the new joint-venture company, PPL PRS Ltd

With a combined workforce of some 200 employees spread between the two Societies based in Central London, other than the field agents and a small handful of office based staff (5 in total) who have transferred to the new company, the remaining workforce were made redundant, and a new pool of staff sourced from the local market in Leicester. Management have no idea of the industry, have seriously under-estimated the number of staff they need, and therefore put huge pressure on what staff they have to do too much in too little time, and then when mistakes happen shout, scream and sack people in a blink of an eye. £100k was spent pre go-live, with a quarter of that spent again in the first three months of go-live (February 2018), brought on largely by the fact the new system is plagued with problems which has impacted on productivity and income generation. Backlogs caused by this has meant they have had to re-employ those who were let go, hire additional staff and lease extra office space. Staff moral is rock bottom. Staff do not feel valued or appreciated. Management do not show any appreciation of those with the knowledge, and above all have no compassion for individual situations and/or circumstances. STAY AWAY

Not a lot really, you get a salary I guess All perks at this place are made to sound better than they are, your mysic voucher is taxed, you can’t eat breakfast at your desk so it’s pointless and the bike the work scheme doesn’t work because when you start your job you don’t earn enough to qualify for it

Some really horrible staff, one instance of someone stealing credit cards from other staff members and they had not been checked in to as they had done similar stuff at previous employers Managers on drugs (enough said) Really biased when choosing internal staff for promotions, you need to be liked to get anywhere in this job or if you want to work in complaints then you need to just be female. This company steals from smaller businesses, with no intention of helping people, they only care about money (which you will see none of). You will be spoken to like crap by the customers every day and you will get minimum wage for it.. do yourself a favour and go somewhere you’ll be respected and actually paid more
