Those in charge love to blame outside forces for what's gone wrong with the organisation - never their own poor decisions, or lack of decision or incompetence. The CEO hired a lot of unserious, inexperienced and egotistical individuals who bickered with one another, gaslit staff, trashed the culture and made work there totally toxic. Some of those same people have now abandoned ship as things go from bad to worse, and left others to tidy up their mess. They cut integrity at all levels of the company, from how it ensures signatories are accountable, watering down and making reporting voluntary, to fudging how they measures their own success.
