- I am even slightly upset having to give it a minimum of 1 star - No interest in improving operations to help develop a reasonable level of service for customers - When approaching "management" to discuss genuine grievances with the expectations they have, you're essentially told that it is the way it is, and for a bunch of nonsensical beurocratic reasons. - Awful wages - apparently we work for a bank, but in todays climate with even competitive minimum wage hikes, PTSB doesn't even pass the laugh test when trying to accommodate their employees with a realistic wage to justify using their actual brains on the job, You get more in the likes of Lidl and Aldi for stacking shelves. - Next to no hopes of climbing any sort of ladder within the dept I work in. The expectation is that we should be grateful for the opportunity to work here and should value the experience we are getting (which also does not correspond at all with how other banks operate - when approaching other establishments, it's quite clear that we use archaic and fundamentally flawed systems) - The service provided to customers from my department is an utter disgrace - we know that there is no update (and no real reason as to why there is no update, just a terribly understaffed and overworked environment) but we have to bring customers around the merry-go-round of excuses to avoid taking any form of accountability ourselves for a complete failure to perform efficiently. - I myself had a €7.80 direct debit bounce on my PTSB acc which I then tried to close. I was advised that I could not have this waived, as an employee who is told that staff don't get charges, and so their answer is to endless charge you quarterly fees. Upon finally closing my acc, I was charged €111.11 euro to settle the account. - When approaching the CEO themselves about a lack of wages, his response was that - to paraphrase "I hear no questions about strategy, or the future, I think everyone needs to reflect on their position within the bank, and stop asking for more money" - No christmas bonus, when senior management receive them for doing sweet f u c k all about making things better for their lower hanging apples.
