Vantaggi
- Great PTO
- the ability to work with different digital clients in the industry
- there were some amazing people to work with
Svantaggi
- Underpaid for volume of work
- Toxic work environment
- Zero growth mindset from leadership setting false expectations to employees
- Extremely high turnover rate
- Bonuses are inexcusable
This list can be exhaustive, but I’ll keep it simple. Imagine being at a place where the project managers gossip about other employees and get excited when others are working when they are on PTO and clock in anyways. People here are expected to sell their soul to the work it seems, never seen so much burnout in my life. If you’re on PTO, then you should be off, not coming into work and having your peers cheer you on as you work on your PTO. They work you to death here, while under paying their employees and having the timelines be extremely unrealistic. I remember having a team all hands where the CCO talked about being “creative”, trying new things, and coming up with ideas. They pushed this agenda, yet when I proposed a new type of UX work with a large ROI I was shut down immediately… Lots of favoritism here at Pace, along with a very high turnover rate. I have never worked at a company where so many people left in the short time I was there. The icing on the cake was getting a bonus for $150 at director level, when they were proud of that bonus for the employee. The recipe at this place paints low employee satisfaction. I am not sure if other agencies are the same way, but it made me never want to work in the agency space ever again.
