The area where service is provided is fairly small (compared to the Midwest and other companies!). I like the ability to contact manager to work around schedule if an urgent issue comes up. He really tries to make it work. It doesn't always, but it felt like he always tried. Constant hands on by management and office staff. Detail oriented and constant learning environment.

Sometimes you want more hours, but so do others.....

Great opportunity to learn complex neurosurgical monitoring. Ability to work extra hours for extra pay. I liked knowing in advance the on-call schedule and the pay for just being on-call. Usually one day 'standby' which can be a day off!

Working in the OR is challenging. Can be long hours...and varied schedule. Medical service is not for everyone.
