Horrible work experience - Recensione dipendente - Design Engineer presso Pacland

Worked there a short time and got pigeon holed right away. I started work and barely got an orientation or training. I was a a recent college grad and didn't know what to expect at my first engineering job…This place was a big let down. I sat on AutoCAD all day and didn't get assigned to do any other work besides CAD…Management didn't train me like they said they were going to do and I became lost and angry sitting at my desk all day getting random work to do that I didn't know/understand how to do because this was my first engineering job. The social aspect of the company is brutal, people are very introvert and awkward to talk to at times..Found it hard to have conversations with others…Worked overtime almost every week, and some nights I had to stay until 2 am for deadlines routinely, and it was seen as normal to work 60 hours a week…Hard to maintain a good work/life balance with the work schedule here. The management doesn't really communicate well with lower level employees or make them feel important or wanted. Overall, my job here was a horrible experience and I basically felt like a slave and unappreciated. I saw a high turnover rate also while I was briefly working there. I even saw a guy quit after his first day, wish I would have done the same thing. Also the pay is on the low end here, especially for how much work they expect you to do…and don't expect to take any breaks throughout the day besides lunch, they frown upon people taking any breaks from work to socialize with others employees or text.
