Vantaggi
The culture and training that Michael Page Chicago has is absolutely unmatched. Prior to coming to Michael Page, I was in logistics and before that I was in educational technology sales. I felt lost and like there was just not a culture in the sales world that would match what I was looking for in my career. I didn't feel supported and frankly felt that no matter what I did, not only did my managers not care, but I didn't feel that I was making a difference in my life or anybody else's due to the transactional nature of my sales cycles. On top of not feeling fulfilled in my career, I also didn't feel comfortable in the office due to the lack of culture. I realized that I may have been wrong about sales the second I walked through Michael Page's doors - or maybe that Michael Page was just the exception. Most people think that bonuses and the commission structure is the only thing to look forward to in a sales career - that is obviously a huge plus, but the culture and people really make each day worth it. Every person who works at Michael Page is endlessly encouraging, kind, funny, and helpful. You can ask any person in the office for help whether you are on their team or not and 9/10 times that person will drop what they're doing to help out. That level of support is extremely valuable to me and what I looked for in my next role. I was initially unsure how the transition would be coming from a more traditional sales background and becoming a recruiter, but the attention that new starters are paid at every level and the training we receive makes it such a seamless transition. I can't say enough about our training and the way the managers/more tenured members pour into every person who joins Michael Page. Come and join us!
Svantaggi
There really aren't too many downsides to working at Michael Page Chicago. It's extremely competitive, you need to be a team player to be successful here. We have some turnover in the office, but that is pretty standard with sales and this job is not an easy one. If you're looking to be challenged every day, this is the place to be! Some people can't handle working both sides of the desk and time management is a skill that is required to be able to successfully do this job.
