-Really great team members on your shifts -You can use online ehub to check that shifts are recorded -In general they are lenient about emergencies -I went in with 0 previous experience, and it requires criminal background check($90), passport photos($20) to get your Alberta Security licence($100) so be prepared for that. -If you stay on with them they will pay for renewal of security license and provide first-aid training once yours is about to expire -LOTS of gamers and sports fans in Lethbridge, so very easy to make friends if you like to play. -For what it's worth, if you can get a F/T offer, take it, and commit, you'll be rewarded for what pay is in an entry-level job comparison.

-Rotations are 4 days on and 4 days off. Broken into 2 shifts from 7am-7pm, followed by 2 nights from 7pm to 7am, then 4 days of rest -Uniforms are provided, but made of cheap material. You also need to buy black boots that can be polished, but are not steel-toed. -In Alberta, $21.75 after taxes was a little over $15/hr after taxes. They use an averaging agreement so that OT is very rarely ever received, and most times you have to watch it yourself. -Working 2 day shifts, followed by 2 overnight shifts is really difficult on your body and sleep pattern, and your first day off is usually spent trying to fix your messed up schedule (read about the negative health effects of working shift work) -Management is a revolving door, they are nice people, but one day you have Cpt.awesome (Hope), followed by fill in on days off who don't know a thing because their training is limited by what Paladin wants to pay for (which is nothing preferably) -6 months probation, yes, 6 months that you might lose your job for any reason, and 6 months (where you must be full-time) to qualify for any health and medical coverage My advice is to get to know your team rotation (you work with the same team most days) because they will become your family. Scratch their back and they'll scratch yours. -OH, and the 'zone supervisor' that is your direct boss, only got a raise of 50 cents with his added responsibility, so don't worry about a rat-race to get promoted. -If you are a casual employee, you will likely only get an OSL(open-shift list) that is the next 2 days. Bid ASAP or someone else will take the spot and you'll be broke
