Vantaggi
Not really much now. The company has changed A LOT for the worse.
Svantaggi
It’s a ghost town in there since soo many people left or were laid off. Instead of rehiring, PC keeps deciding to have “organizational structure changes” where they “promote” someone on the team and then give that promoted person the entire job of the employee who left. It’s a cheat way for them to save money by just not rehiring and giving you extra work to do while thinking that they satisfied you by giving you just a cheap raise. The leadership has significantly changed as well. They once had teams led by great leaders and now it seems like most of the directors and officers hired in are horrible and a complete shift from what they once had. Some coming into director level positions having to completely learn and be taught the job from their employees because they have no experience in what they just got hired to do. It’s a great company to work at if you want to grow and gain skills in your field. You will definitely get a lot of experience to take with you elsewhere because you have to do everything here. The work is usually not split amongst multiple people. You have to do EVERYTHING. It’s easy to get promotions as most people get promoted after a couple years. You do have to work hard there since there’s always something to do because of the heaviness of everyone’s workload. Give yourself 3-5 years here so you can gain the experience of doing everything in your field and then leave and find something better. The beauty of having a heavy workload and having to do everything is knowing that you’re acquiring great skills that can take you really far elsewhere. Just not very far at Pampered Chef. The culture has changed a lot and people are overworked, tired, and micromanaged a lot now by the new leadership.
