Currently lack a clear vision for the company - without articulating things in vague, idealist language around “open source.” Their leading uptime and ability to scale seamlessly are now table stakes, compared to 10 years ago. They have been bested by the competition - like Contentful - which is more user-friendly. Additionally, Drupal is dying as a CMS (especially if you want to expand your audience), outside of some niche enterprise and educational applications. Many talented, empathetic employees left after internal disputes over content moderation, leaving toxic overachievers and mindless sycophants in control.
