Despite being a lower rung employee at Paramount, I made a decent salary for Los Angeles. I learned a lot, had good benefits and perks. HR was proactive about coaching higher level managers when issues arose.

Toxic work environment. Constant layoffs created air of paranoia and pushing additional work on already overextended employees without additional compensation or title changes. Lots of unnecessary yelling and snark from all angles. There are very few middle managers, so if you're a coordinator or assistant, you basically have to leave the company to move up because much of middle management has been eliminated.
