Vantaggi
The last true Hollywood Studio. The lot is beautiful and historic, and many of the employees are friendly and caring. Despite boasting poor benefits and less than stellar hiring practices, the company can be very loyal to those who do work there. Holidays and film releases are marked with parties and fun events, and the company culture is extremely laid back. While several top leaders are less than stellar, Brad Grey is a tremendous leader and does inspire confidence. He was always a classy executive, and rallied the troops well.
Svantaggi
Pay is below average, even for entertainment (which is famously below average for the LA market). The studio is understaffed, and a "if its not broken, don't fix it" mentality prevails. There is also the constant threat of downsizing. Perhaps its a bit of a paranoid fear, but almost everyone working there talks about it. For a time, we couldn't even purchase new printer paper and we were forced to use colored three-hole punch paper to send out invoices. The company has wonderful people, but is constantly under pressure due to the legal issues surrounding the Redstones and Viacom. Progression is impossible once you reach the management tier.
