Parry Custom Homes provides the highest quality build for its customers while also working tirelessly to provide the best overall experience for the customer. To do this, it requires a team of people with a strong work ethic, a willingness to do the right thing and a positive outlook. Unfortunately over the years, I’ve seen a lot of people not possess these skills and instead of trying to learn and grow, they blame things on other people. It is not an “easy job,” as most adult jobs aren’t, but it’s extremely rewarding when you know you work for a team that is consistently trying to put forth the best overall experience and product in home building. I’ve personally witnessed managers in the trenches with their employees trying to problem solve, work through issues on-site or jump into meetings to help both the employee and customer. The owners always put the team and customers first, which is one of the biggest reasons I’ve stayed over the years. There have been many team events over the years - from picnics and parties to Top Golf and Pirates games. They pay well and also always work with people who need to get to a doctor’s appointment or a child’s game/event at school etc. They sent my family food and came to the visitation when my grandmother passed away after I had only one month working there. It takes an A+ team to deliver A+ results, and I’ve seen people come and go over the years who did not have this same attitude. I feel that they really stand behind their values of a strong work ethic, having a positive mindset and always working toward the betterment of the team and the customer. If someone did not have the same experience, then we know why…

Management has made a lot of improvement in communication over the years with team members to be more empathetic and effective. I personally like being talked to in a direct manner where I can identify the issue, correct it and move on. Some prior employees view this negatively and instead of trying to take accountability for their mistakes, stir up drama or blame other people for their shortcomings. I personally appreciate Parry only keeping strong teammates on board because I know I am working with people who care and work as hard as I do instead of people who don’t pull their own weight and become toxic colleagues. It is a small business so it took some getting used to the lack of a “corporate structure.”
