To address some of the concerns you raised...
It seems you had a communication gap with your mentor at times. An excellent way to resolve such issues would be to use the tools we have at hand like JIRA and Confluence to clearly communicate the approach we intend on using to address a user story.
We follow bi-weekly sprints and continuous integration and deployments across all projects if that was not the case on your team, please speak to us, and we will take remedial actions.
Can you please share with us more details on the issues you faced with the leave policy? Presently, we work five days a week, offer 20 days of earned leaves annually, up to 26 weeks of maternity leave and 15 days of paternity leave for first two children, seven days of bereavement leave if there is an unfortunate case of death of a close relative in your family. Apart from that, we have provisions for work from home, sabbatical leaves or leave without pays and up to 10 leave encashments. We do try to be fair in approving all leave requests so that every team member gets a chance to take time off, client timelines are not severely impacted, and a balance is maintained.
We strive to be employee-friendly and pride ourselves on the benefits we offer our employees, and whenever we roll out a new benefit, we take an opportunity to educate everyone about the facilities available so that it can be utilized to the fullest. For example, currently, we not only offer five lakhs health insurance for the employee but also his/her spouse, two children and two parents without any deductions in compensation or an employee contribution, its unfortunate this came across as a negative.
We are proud of our high performing team, and they deliver beyond and above our client expectations and due to their contribution have grown at a rapid pace in the last three years entirely organically, from 2 to over 40 members and expect to continue with that trend.
