Vantaggi
They were very good about taking the team out to dinner each quarter.
Svantaggi
Most of reviews you're reading on here are from those in sales positions. When you're on the sales team - there certainly is a LOT of pressure. No doubt. However this is very much a sales led company in all the absolute worst ways. Where the goal and numbers are all that matters and stepping on people to get there is perfectly acceptable. Politics and backstabbing abound from the bottom all the way to the top. You will be caught between warring VP's who aren't interesting in supporting their teams - but only in extending their own sense of power. You will be yelled at (I'm not joking), belittled, set up to fail in order to cover for another team, overworked, and have your job threatened by someone on the fourth floor you may or may not have ever worked with or for. They have a brass ("gold") elevator in the middle of the buildings atrium that everyone knows you're not allowed to take unless you're a VP with that office on the 4th floor. Yes, as laughable as that sounds, I am serious. There are those very few wonderful people there with whom you can stand in the back, trying to avoid drawing attention to yourselves (because there isn't any kind of attention at Paychex you really want) and whisper about life outside. Those good people you can lean to for support while there and whom occasionally send you an email with the subject "Get me outta here!" after you've left. For your own sanity - avoid working here.
