Vantaggi
The employees are generally very passionate, competent, and diligent at their job. They are a joy to work with and are always ready to help a colleague out.
Svantaggi
The office is located in the commercial unit of a condo. Not very ideal considering the toilets are miles away. It's an authoritarian workplace there. I understand the need to adapt quickly to changes and constantly work on processes to improve performance and efficiency, but the situation here is a bit much. Everything can change 180 degrees within a day, and most of the time it's because the CEO changes his mind or can't decide something and stick to it long enough to see if it works. It's not surprising to see a complete refresh of existing processes 3-5 times a week. Yet, as everybody is scrambling to keep up with the new processes, the CEO is penalising and reprimanding people who make mistakes. The CEO also loves engaging in discussions and debates, even if it has no outcome (where a decision can be made). If it's a 2-people conversation and you're trying to arrive at a conclusion, either you end up agreeing with him, or you don't do it. He won't try to understand your POV. So if you don't end up agreeing with him, the conversation is not productive, and it's a waste of time. If you are a subject matter expert in a particular topic you are discussing, he will somehow use his logic to argue with you without researching the facts. And the same conversation can go on for hours without an outcome or conclusion. He may (or may not) come to you after to proclaim that he's changed his mind after doing some research and reluctantly give you credit for initially arguing on the right side. At the end of the day, it's a colossal waste of time for both parties. If you are in the sales coordinator team working on inbound leads, you might not have a wonderful time. Management (basically the CEO again) have high expectations for you to successfully schedule meetings for the leads. Yet, the leads given are of terrible quality. It used to be good when they hired a girl who does marketing, then she left out of frustration and everything went downhill and stays there. It doesn't help if you give feedback to the CEO (who also doubles as marketing). Your feedback goes down the drain and the only response you get is that "the leads are cheap so it makes sense". If you are in the closer team, it's a struggle as well. You're expected to seal the deal from the low-quality inbound leads you're getting and at the same time do outbound leads. This is fine, but it's just not the most comfortable environment to work in with pressure to hit the target and deliver given the limitations you have. If you are a fresh grad or a junior (which they love to hire because of cheap labour and they can mould you to do things their way), please don't join this company. You are much better off elsewhere where you have a great team with proper leaders to guide and shape you in your first years of work. If you are planning to join the product/development team, you may consider. They have a mighty strong, competent and tight-knit team with excellent leaders there. You might be able to grow quite well working with that team. But bear in mind that at the end of the day, your biggest boss is still the same CEO.
