Oh, where do I start?! My advice to anyone who's considering joining Pearson Noida is that find out who your prospective manager would be and reach out to prospective teammates to learn about the manager. If your role will be aligned to US or UK team, enquire about work hours, etc. in advance and figure out your JD properly so that you don't end up being an assistant to first world white people despite being a bright and intelligent person. A lot of HR policies look good on paper but the reality is absolutely opposite. The HR will often tell you that xyz option is available but only at your manager's discretion. So, if your manager does not like you, you'll be stuck in a helpless position. You won't get promotions, you'll be overburdened with work and scrutinised about how you spend each minute of each day. Nobody will help you. I had filed an anonymous complaint against my manager but barring a couple of changes, things got worse (even though the investigation concluded in my favour). Even after I resigned, I was threatened (against company's policies) that my notice period will be extended! I got Covid during my 60-day notice period but wasn't allowed leaves. My resignation wasn't approved for 28 days, due to which my salary was put on hold. I kept asking my manager to tell me who I was supposed to train and repeatedly requested to decrease my notice period. I even offered to encash all my leaves against my remaining working days but two people's ego is more important in this company than an individual's peace of mind, future and dignity. I had to call lawyers and external HR executives to understand my rights and fight back to get my resignation approved, forget having my notice period reduced. When I joined Pearson, I was an enthusiastic and ambitious young woman and three years here turned me into a cynical, depressed, passionless drone. I would never recommend Pearson to anyone about whom I care even a little.
