There’s no structure to how programs are put together. Every one has its own set of difficulties and you’re expected to work miracles. This is made worse by the lack of planning, training, and flexibility. Be prepared to figure it out on your own, under a deadline, with no thanks or recognition. Upper management is very out of touch with their direct reports and doesn’t seem to know what actually goes into project work.
