For a company that has been around for over 28 years, not much has changed or progressed. Behind with the times with a workplace culture that has very poor line of communication, governance and support. The whole concept of “wearing many hats” does not work. Often staff are expected to carry out work that is well beyond their expertise, all because the management is frugal and doesn’t take interest in investing on having the right personnel to carry out the respective line of work. Instead, the majority of the staff are either overworked or keeps their heads down to not be made the next person to be targeted by the CEO. The majority of the people lack motivation as a result and unfortunately creates a very poor office culture. There is very little trust from the top, which means very little career progression and salary increase. This has resulted in many staff members having left (a mass exodus). The office environment is well below standards with poor lighting, leaking ceilings, poor furniture ergonomics all collecting dust. Sadly, it does not help with creating a collaborative workplace. Be warned, as although it seems to sound all good on the web, doesn’t mean that it’s a true reflection of the reality.
