Vantaggi
I've worked with some great people at Peraton, and most that I've had personal interactions with appear to care about their employees and co-workers.
Svantaggi
I was not actively looking for a new job when Peraton headhunted me and offered me a $3k pay raise, but also a way to get out of a manufacturing environment. I went above and beyond in the job, doing additional duties, routinely putting in a little bit of unpaid overtime, and generally applying myself to excel as I do. They rewarded this by asking me to reapply for my own job at a $16k pay CUT after 1 year. No issues with my performance, they just didn't think the job rated the pay that they had initially offered me. This was a complete bait and switch. Now they do have a "Family First" program that is designed to help Peraton employees apply for other positions within the company as their contracts come to an end. They even staff it with employees that appear to have your best interest at heart. But that's where the support appears to end. Despite the program saying that hiring managers must consider Family First members with priority, there were jobs that I applied for and was 100% qualified for that I was dismissed out of hand from without even an interview and with obviously false reasons given for the dismissal.
