You can find good in any company you work for. For Perficient it's about latching onto the limited number of truly talented employees they have working there. And there are a few but that's where it ends. The key to happiness working for Perficient is to gravitate towards those people who make you feel good about working there because without them it's an unbearable environment.

The #1 negative of working with Perficient is it's inept and incompetent executive leadership team. They have no idea what they are doing. I have never worked for a company which is so disconnected, driven by the wrong things, does not listen to their employees at all, only concerned about the price per share. I honesty don't know how the company does as well as it does except that historically it has survived by acquiring companies to keep the revenue numbers looking good for its shareholders. After that it's a complete and utter failure in integrating those companies. There are a bunch of little commanders running around the company thinking they can do whatever they want. There's no unity or cohesiveness. You literally could get away with capital murder at Perficient as long as you are contributing to billable hours and adding to the revenue stream.

Very little outside of some of the people you work with. FTO is only nice if you have a manager who lets you use it. They did allow work from home, not sure if that is still the case.

This company was run poorly by Tom Hogan before private equity bought it but the buyout accelerated their decline. If you want to be a cog in the machine, this is the place for you. The leadership is only focused on themselves. They will praise you or throw you under the bus depending on how they feel it makes them look to their bosses. The employees who don’t have a stable long term project live in fear of being let go irregardless of talent and many of their most talented are leaving because they see the writing on the wall.
