Good snacks; meetings are concise; smart people

Terrible vacation time - 2 weeks your first two years; they pressure you to post on LinkedIn all the time; lots of turnover; they watch these reviews like hawks and have someone internal post a positive review to offset any negative reviews; really expensive health benefits that go up significantly every year mid-year so you lose all the money you put toward your deductible over and over; no 401k match; pretend to be cool about "perks" but it's just a show; the forced 9-6 is ridiculous; "summer hours" just means you get to work from home once a week - who cares

As a small, bootstrapped company, we strive for enough structure to avoid chaos while being flexible for our people. We leverage multiple WFH days per month and flex-time with core hours to help us find work/life harmony. When you join a bootstrapped startup (and receive equity) you'll need to invest a little extra time and effort. We aren't perfect, but our average length of employment is over 4 years. At the end of the day, the company's continued success and stability ensure employee wellbeing in the long term, something extra precious in these times.

Theres been a lot of improvements made recently. A new leadership team stepped up and seem to be actually improving things. I'm starting to see real change happening in areas that a lot of us have felt was needed for a while. The new CEO seems to really care about our happiness and is putting time and money into the areas that we feel strongly about. Improving what we do is obviously going to require changes (which isn't always comfortable) but as long as you're not resistant to doing something in a new way, it's been cool to see it taking form.

At the end of the day there were struggles we had to figure out, but that's not abnormal for business. You'll find people work really hard here and care a lot, so if you're not devoted to your career or want to grow, this might not be the right place for you.
