Vantaggi
-I love helping customers solve problems for their pets. Making an animal's live better always makes my day! -Staff is like family. I can joke around with my co-workers. Relaxed environment for the most part. -I would say 'okay' experience for retail merely because a lot of the customer services heavily relies on knowing a ton about each and every product (i.e. dog/cat food ingredients/differences, fish and small animal care, health problems etc) and for a beginner (which you'll probably on the register) you either wont know right off the bat, or you wont get enough on the floor experience. GREAT for learning how to be proficient at register. -My multi-tasking skills have increased since working here. You're working on a project then a customer or two need help, then you have a phone call...you help them, you finally get back to your project and by that time you've done like 10 different things. Its awesome.

-Having to answer the calls and help the person on the phone while trying to help the person at checkout is a lot to ask. One customer always gets the short end of the stick. -Definitely not enough people on the floor. Customers do not care if you only have 3 or 4 (not including the register, who cannot leave the front) on the floor to help. -When you're hired, there is a lot of computer training. After that, there is rarely anything else to learn from. I've been working for a little over 7 months stuck at the register and do not feel confident in my knowledge to help certain customers. I wish I had more on hands and computer learning choices. I want to help people but I cant!
