- Promotion by politics as opposed to a meritocracy. If you're looking to get ahead by your own merit and not by who likes you, you can forget about it - Incompetent, self serving middle and upper management, they will throw you under the bus for their own mistakes to make themselves look good - Throws big, ostentatious bi-annual galas that cost a lot of money, glamour and all, then comes steal the money back from you by changing your pay plan - Taking away people's commission plan, replacing it with a small base and bonus, as a result, promotes mediocrity

Large company, wont be closing doors and room for growth

its all about money now. They are changing pay plans often to rid themselves of those who are paid well. You no longer have the ability to service the clients, only sell sell sell. Managers are now hired and trained to work down, not with employees.
