Vantaggi
There are some pros to working at Pfizer, though they are not worth it. First is that there are a lot of “ancillary benefits.” Legal help, pet insurance, discount programs, etc. Second is that a lot of companies know that is you can survive at Pfizer and ESPECIALLY if you can promote, you can survive even the most apocalyptic business scenario. The good news is that Pfizer is 200 Percent on board with “diversity and inclusion.” If that’s your thing, you may be happier than most here.

Where do I start? When we bought Seagen, it was very clear that their management team all the way down to their field representatives were of a very high caliber. Many of them were some of the most respected people in the field in their geographies. Rather than integrate these people and use them as the resources that they are, Pfizer did their absolute best to push them out the door without blatantly looking like they were pushing them out the door. The good news for most of the Seagen team is that roughly 90% of them are gone two years later. In typical Pfizer fashion, rather than looking internally to try and determine why all of these very high-quality people are jumping ship, they sit back and comment “we wish them the best…” In Pfizer’s world, Pfizer can do no wrong. One needs to look no further than the annual employee surveys that come back with positively awful results. This year is “positive spin” was that “a large percent of management level employees think we are doing better and on the right track,” while at the same time completely ignoring the dismal results from the rest of the employees that took the survey. Leadership is completely out of touch with most of the front line employees. It feels like a king talking to peasants whenever a senior leadership person speaks. The stock is junk and has been junk for about a decade. Up a little bit, down a little bit… I suppose it has some stability in that it pays a decent dividend, but that’s about it. Compensation is BELOW AVERAGE in the industry. You are treated like a number here. You are completely expendable, and there is a prevailing attitude that you should feel lucky to be here because “we are Pfizer.“ GOALS. I have never been involved with, nor even heard of, a company that changes focus so often. The only thing I can think of is that Pfizer is chasing Wall Street and constantly trying to do SOMETHING that will raise the stock price. Goal planning at Pfizer is like trying to set up weekly appointments with an unmedicated ADD individual on meth, cocaine, and crack all at the same time. Goals change mid campaign, Managers all Try to show something by throwing out practically obscene levels of expectations, and it only gets worse from there. There is a reason Pfizer loves people that are former military - they are used to taking orders and not asking questions regardless of how ridiculous those orders may be.
